Artemis Real Estate Partners to Get Some Self Storage Exposure with Maya Capital Partners

Maya Capital Partners, LLC is a real estate investment and development company based in New York City. Established in 2016, Maya Capital Partners is focused on acquiring multifamily and self-storage assets in strong markets throughout the Northeastern United States. Jason Lami and Samir Mistry are co-founders of Maya Capital Partners.
Maya Capital Partners and Artemis Real Estate Partners partnered to form a U.S. value-add self-storage investment venture. As a seed asset, their venture acquired a 96,693 square foot facility in New York. The property is a 1,120-unit Class A self-storage asset in New Rochelle, New York. The venture will utilize Maya’s existing “Drive Up Storage” brand
Newmark Group, Inc. arranged a US$ 300 million programmatic joint venture between Maya Capital Partners and Artemis Real Estate Partners focused on high-quality value-add self-storage assets in the Northeastern United States. Transactions will comprise both marketed and off-market acquisitions of high-quality value-add properties and certificate of occupancy lease-up plays with the goal of creating a diverse portfolio of assets.
Self Storage Deals
In October 2022, Maya Capital Partners disclosed they bought three self storage facilities, in the Northeast U.S. The first of the three acquisitions, formerly known as Amwell Valley Self Storage, is located at 470 NJ-31 in Ringoes, New Jersey. The second acquisition, formerly known as The Storage Depot, is comprised of 310 units (142 Non-Climate Units, 168 Climate Controlled Units), and is located at 483 Washington Ave in North Haven, CT within close proximity to I-95 and Yale and Quinnipiac Universities. The third and most recent acquisition, formerly known as Affordable & Safe Self Storage, is a newly built facility located at 1257 New Haven Road in Naugatuck, CT that is comprised of 247 climate-controlled and drive-up units. These units were renamed to the Drive-Up Storage brand.
