Jeddah Central Development Company (JCDC) is a wholly-owned unit of Saudi sovereign wealth fund Public Investment Fund (PIF). Jeddah Central Development Company awarded a design contract to Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) in June 2022 for its Oceanarium and Coral Farm landmark building coming up with its mega Jeddah Central Project. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill is an American architectural, urban planning and engineering firm. It was founded in 1936 by Louis Skidmore and Nathaniel Owings in Chicago, Illinois.
