Libreville is the capital city of Gabon, a country on the coast of Central Africa. Architects are already planning major buildings using mass timber in Africa. Embracing wooden buildings, the Gabon Sovereign Wealth Tower has plans to have roughly 9,000 square meters of floor space over more than six floors. The Sovereign Wealth Tower will be constructed in The Marina, a 13-hectare site located at the tip of Libreville. The property seeks to house Gabon’s sovereign wealth fund – Fonds Souverain de la Republique Gabonaise (Gabonese Fund for Strategic Investments),as well as a United Nations office.
