Samsung Asset Management Snags 20% Stake in ETF Firm Amplify Holding

Samsung Asset Management made a 20% minority equity investment in Amplify Holding Company LLC, a Wheaton, Illinois-based ETF sponsor. Samsung Asset Management made the investment through Samsung Asset Management U.S. Holdings, Inc. In addition, Samsung Asset Management obtains exclusivity to provide Amplify products in Asia. In addition, both companies will jointly develop new products and marketing strategies. Amplify ETFs, sponsored by Amplify Investments, has over US$ 4.4 billion in assets across its suite of ETFs as of December 31, 2021. Amplify Investments was formed in 2015 by Christian Magoon. Christian Magoon was the former President of Claymore Securities.
