Venture Capital
1. Battery Ventures is raising US$ 3.5 billion for its 14th flagship fund and US$ 600 million for its second select fund.
2. Atlas Venture raised US$ 450 million for its eighth fund.
3. Founders Fund raised US$ 1.93 billion for its eighth flagship fund and US$ 3.4 billion for its second growth fund.
4. New Stack Ventures of Chicago raised US$ 43 million for its second fund.
5. Andreessen Horowitz is raising US$ 600 million for a gaming fund.
Crypto
1. Bain Capital Ventures raised US$ 560 million for its debut crypto fund. The fund can buy both startup equity and tokens.
2. Curated is an NFT-focused firm. Curated raised US$ 30 million for its debut fund.
Infrastructure
1. KKR announced the final closing of KKR Global Infrastructure Investors IV, a US$ 17 billion fund focused on pursuing global infrastructure investment opportunities with an emphasis on investments in OECD countries in North America and Western Europe. The Fund received strong support from a diverse group of both new and existing investors globally, including public and private pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments and foundations, private wealth platforms, family offices, high-net-worth individual investors and other institutional investors. KKR will be investing US$ 1 billion of capital in the Fund alongside these investors through the KKR’s balance sheet, affiliates, and employee commitments. Debevoise & Plimpton LLP represented KKR as primary fund counsel for this fundraise.
Private Equity
1. Private equity firm Kelso & Co. locked in almost US$ 2 billion of the US$ 3 billion target for its 11th flagship buyouts funds.
2. Harvest Partners is targeting US$ 5.3 billion for its ninth flagship buyout fund.
