7-Time Super Bowl Champ Tom Brady Officially Retires

After a period of speculation, Tom Brady (age 44) has officially retired from the NFL. The seven-time Super Bowl champion announced his decision on Instagram, Tuesday.

“I have always believed the sport of football is an ‘all-in’ proposition – if a 100% competitive commitment isn’t there, you won’t succeed, and success is what I love so much about our game,” Tom Brady wrote.

Tom Brady won six Super Bowls with the Patriots playing for coach Bill Belichick. Tom Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to their second Super Bowl title in 2021 in his first season in Tampa.
