Goldman Banker Luke Sarsfield to Co-Head Asset Management Business
Posted on 01/24/2022
Goldman Sachs Group Inc. named Luke Sarsfield to co-head its US$ 1.7 trillion asset management business. Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) is led by Julian Salisbury for much of 2021. This is after long-time Goldman executive Eric S. Lane left the Wall Street bank for Tiger Global Management.
Sarsfield has been with Goldman for more than 22 years and he currently co-heads the client business of the asset management arm – a job he got in 2019. Before the client role at Goldman, Sarsfield was global head of the financial institutions group within the investment banking division and a senior coverage banker in financial institutions, health care and consumer retail at the bank.
