Deep Value Investor Charles de Vaulx Jumps from NYC Building to his Death

Charles de Vaulx, aged 59, was the Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of International Value Advisers, LLC (IVA). On April 26, 2021, Charles de Vaulx allegedly committed suicide jumping from the 10th floor of IVA’s offices at 717 Fifth Avenue in midtown Manhattan. He leaves behind a wife and two children. International Value Advisers was liquidated when the investment firm experienced outflows of asset under management from US$ 20 billion down to US$ 863 million. Investors lost trust in IVA.
Charles de Vaulx was a Moroccan French-born asset manager. In 2008, Charles de Vaulx joined International Value Advisers.
