US Presidential Election Still Undecided, Leans Toward Biden with Unofficial Tallies
Posted on 11/05/2020
The U.S. presidential election remains contested, as both sides wait for official tallies and lawsuits are being filed in key states. U.S. President Donald Trump is the incumbent, while former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden is the challenger. Trump was ahead in vote counts in key swing states on the night of the election, but on the very next day, a slew of ballots went in favor for Biden.
With unofficial tallies, Biden is ahead in key states Trump needs to win, such as Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona. Trump has an uphill battle legally to win the election at this point.
While votes are being counted, it appears Republicans look to hold the U.S. Senate in majority, while the House of Representatives will remain in the hands of Democrats.
