Temasek and Goldman Sachs Invest in Series B in V2food

Singapore’s Temasek Holdings and Goldman Sachs participated in an equity investment in Australia-based V2food. V2food is a plant-based meat company that raised A$ 77 million in a Series B round. Other investors in the Series B round includes Chinese food producer Esenagro, China Renaissance Holdings Ltd.’s Huaxing Growth Capital, and investment firms ABC World Asia, Altitude Partners, and Novel Investments. The funds will join existing investors Horizons Ventures and Australian state-backed firm Main Sequence Ventures.
Fake meat companies like Beyond Meat Inc. have been trying to build relationships with fast food vendors. Beyond Meat which partnered with Yum China Holdings Inc. to introduce the Beyond Burger at select KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell locations.
