Rachel is a Managing Partner at Sovereign Wealth Ltd, an investment consultancy headquartered in Abu Dhabi. Since 2016, Rachel has also been a senior advisor to the Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute (SWFI), a global data and research business focusing on institutional investors. She has spent the last decade in the Middle East, including 8 years at Mubadala Investment Company, one of the Middle East’s largest sovereign wealth funds. She also led the Asset & Liability Committee for Mubadala GE Capital. A CFA Charterholder and chartered treasurer, in 2014 the Association of Corporate Treasurers named Rachel “The One to Watch” in Treasury. She is a CFA Charterholder, chartered treasurer and member of Mensa.

Wieger is Managing Director Enforcement & EMEA responsible for Omni Bridgeway’s business development, marketing and sales team activity. With close to three decades experience in global litigation, litigation funding and enforcement, Wieger is also responsible for leading the company’s investments in (sovereign) awards and judgments and contributing to its litigation funding efforts. Wieger holds an MBA from INSEAD (France), a master’s degree in Civil Law (Leiden University, the Netherlands), and a post-doctorate degree in Insolvency Law. He is fluent in Dutch and English and proficient in Russian, German and French.

Niels puts forward the position and interests of European Investors -VEB in the broad public debate on Corporate Governance, Financial Markets, Regulation and Securities. He’s also responsible for representing investors in engagement processes and legal cases. As representative of investors Niels is member of the Consultative Working Group of the Investor Protection and Intermediary Standard Committee of ESMA and the Advisory Panel of the AFM. The European Commission has selected him as an expert on Corporate Governance, Company Law and Securities Law. The European Parliament regularly asks for his opinion regarding investor protection rules. He studied Corporate and Securities Law as well as (International) Financial Economics at Radboud University in Nijmegen. After having worked at the Dutch Authority for Financial Markets (AFM), he was research assistant at the Van der Heijden Institute, part of the Research department ‘Business and Law’ of the Radboud University, before joining VEB.
