XFL Files for Bankruptcy Protection

XFL is the pro football league relaunched this year by WWE’s Vince McMahon. The XFL has filed for bankruptcy protection. The WWE owned 23.5% in Class B stock of the XFL. Some creditors include St. Louis Sports Commission (US$ 1,600,000), Dallas Renegades’ Bob Stoops (US$ 1,083,000), XFL official hat partner 47 Brand (US$ 846,000), Tampa Bay Vipers’ Marc Trestman (US$ 777,777), and Ticketmaster (US$ 655,148). These are estimate amounts.

Last week, XFL fired all of its employees without severance.
