British Prime Minister Boris Johnson Hospitalized over Wuhan Coronavirus

U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson was admitted to St Thomas’ Hospital after suffering from Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms 10 days after testing positive. Downing Street disclosed the hospitalization of Boris Johnson was a precautionary step and he remained in charge of the government.
U.K. Queen Elizabeth II, the 93-year-old monarch, gave a broadcast recorded at Windsor Castle to address the U.K. and Commonwealth.

As a precaution, U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson was moved to intensive care as his coronavirus symptoms worsened over the course of hours on Monday, according to a statement from the British government. U.K. Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab will temporarily take over the prime minister’s duties while Boris Johnson remains hospitalized, the U.K. government said.
