Large sovereign wealth funds are realigning their private equity portfolios to be able to invest in new funds and de-risk legacy assets. The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) hired PJT Park Hill to find buyers for a portfolio worth around US$ 2 billion in private equity fund interests. ADIA knows that there are a plethora of secondary fund buyers and funds in the market, such as Ardian, Lexington Partners, Landmark Partners, Harbourvest Partners, and Coller Capital. For example, Coller Capital raised US$ 4.8 billion for its eighth secondaries fund with a target of US$ 9 billion.
