Keppel Infrastructure Snags 20% Stake in MET Group

Keppel Infrastructure, the infrastructure unit of Singapore-based Keppel Corporation, invested €53 million for a 20% stake in MET Group, a Switzerland-based energy and trading company. Formed in 2007, MET Group has businesses in natural gas, power, and oil markets. A portion of MET Group’s assets are comprised of long-term leases on pipelines and storage capacity.
Keppel Infrastructure is keen on investing in the European energy market. The company seeks to find energy infrastructure investments in Europe.
MET Group was originally formed in Hungary, but moved its headquarters to Zug, Switzerland.
E2 Hungary is a joint venture of MET Holding and Magyar Telecom that was formed on January 1, 2016.
