RDIF Inks Cooperation Agreement with Major Cement Producer LafargeHolcim

Revealed on October 21, 2019, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) reached a cooperation agreement with the Swiss company LafargeHolcim, the massive global cement company. LafargeHolcim is looking to invest and find more opportunities within Russia. LafargeHolcim operates four cement plants in Russia, with sites in the Moscow, Kaluga and Saratov regions, it also has three non-metallic mineral quarries in the Republic of Karelia.
For example, LafargeHolcim assisted with projects that include eight of the twelve stadiums in Russia. The construction materials such as cement were used to help work on Moscow’s flagship Luzhniki Stadium. Other arenas in Russia that used the company’s products include Kazan Arena, Nizhny Novgorod Arena, Volgograd Arena, Volgograd Arena, Samara Arena, and Rostov Arena.
