Posted on 12/21/2010
The Australian Future Fund is planning on buying a 17.2% stake in Gatwick Airport in the United Kingdom. This purchase would come from Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP). The Future Fund has joined the ranks of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), Korea National Pension Service, and the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) by investing in Gatwick. Infrastructure continues to be a hot area of investment for sovereign investors, especially in the U.K. market.
