The NSIA: Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) and the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (FMoH) have signed a strategic partnership agreement to enhance oncology care in Nigeria, through the FMoH’s Oncology Initiative which aims to upgrade cancer care through pivotal medical infrastructure investments in select tertiary hospitals across Nigeria.
This follows the NSIA’s successful execution of the three demonstration projects – NSIA-LUTH Cancer Centre (NLCC), NSIA Umuahia Diagnostic Center – (NUDC), and NSIA-Kano Diagnostic Centre (NKDC) as well as NSIA’s ongoing healthcare expansion program which will establish 3 new oncology centers, 23 diagnostic centers and 7 catheterisation laboratories, across the six geo-political zones in Nigeria.
Aminu Umar-Sadiq, MD & CEO, NSIA remarked, “The NSIA is pleased to be engaged as the implementing partner for the FMOH’s Oncology Initiative as it validates our execution capacity, robust strategic partnerships and focus on capacity enhancement for stakeholders in the oncology space.”
